Luke at Lambeau Field
 Posted by Picasa

Luke's first day at camp. Posted by Picasa

Go Pack Go

Had a good night? I don’t know. Luke ended up in our bed. I don't know when. I took Luke to camp. He was a tired boy feel a sleep on the way. I then went to the Packers shareholders meeting. I waited for Pennie at the parking lot. We had the business meeting. We then walked over to Lambeau Field. It is hard to complain about free food but the way they set it up was crazy. A lot of people no set lines no way to get out when you get your food. I was lucky I didn't have a panic attack. Pennie and I got separated. I called her on the cell phone but her cell phone was in her car. I found her in the stands. I went and got Luke. The lady said he did much better today.
Luke and I went to Lambeau Field. We found Pennie. We watched the rookies practice.
We went Luke fell a sleep and hard. Pennie fell a sleep and I also took a little nap. Lori cleaned the house while we were gone. We went out to eat at Texas Road house. There was a clown there he made Luke a balloon animal. We then did some shopping. Well I better go take my sleeping pill.

Another one bites the dust.

I can't beleive it I broke another pedometer. I realy liked it. I bought another one but it not as nice. Yesterday was my first day of vacation. We took Luke to camp.
We then went shopping 8+ stores. It was strange not having the kids. We bought a jogging stroller. We picked up Luke from camp. We went to eat at Old country buffet.
Luke said he does not like carrot cake he likes cheese cake. I hope he does not change his mind about me. Today we brought Luke to camp. We got home in time for the space shuttle launch. I watched praying there would be no problems so far so good.I then worked on the Garage and Lori worked upstairs. I think when I am done it will be functional. We picked up Luke at camp and they said he had a rough day. He was put on two time outs for hitting two kids. We talked to him and said we will take him out of camp if he hits again. I had a rough day had a lot of muscle cramps.
Last time I checked Lighting can't hurt you on a wireless phone(unless your outside standing by a tree). If Pennie want's she can take Mom and Dad to the train show and we will meet at six flags on Sunday then Dad can take the big O2 tanks.
My head is spinning trying to figure out what Pennie wants. Dad was trying to make it easier on Pat and also on Pennie so she didn't have to drive. What am I missing?
I will do whatever go not go drive not drive.
I better stop I am in a bad mood. I will go take a sleeping pill.

What Luke put in his backpack by Lori

Luke wanted to pack his own backpack for Kamp Kermit. Here are the contents: A bottle of water (which was already in there from the Fourth of July. I offered him a cold bottle but he wanted the same one), an airplane, and his Spiderman gloves. I'm not sure what he thinks camp is, but apparently he will be ready.

The house is too quiet without him and Breanna.

Dad put big table in my room with moms old doll house on top!I am very greatful of him for doing that THANKS DAD! If you have any doll house things left over may I use them. For anut pennie and dad the light thing I bought at lifefeast makes a great lamp for the doll house. hyhast (hope you have a save thursday) the crazy object breanna

So far this week

We had a nice couple of days. Breanna is getting ready to spend a week in Crystal Falls and is all excited about that. In addition, she is staying at my mother's house Thursday night for a sleepover. Usually she does this once a summer because my mom has Fridays off in the summer. I am starting to wonder if I will ever see her again!

Pete cleaned out my old desk that was in the garage to make room for his tools and put it in Breanna's room (after she and I made room for it). Then he cleaned out my dollhouse that my dad made for me when I was a kid. My mom lined the walls with fabric from my old clothes or wallpaper samples that we used in our house and it was fun seeing those again. He also brushed Maya and it was fun watching her try to get away from him but she looks much better and feels better, too.

I cleaned out the laundry room but still have to sort the clothes...joy. We had tacos for supper and I made cream cheese bars for dessert. Luke asked if he could help make them and I said, "Sure". He poured the sugar into the bowl and grabbed the book and told me to "mix it all up and pour it in the pan and then EAT IT!" I asked if it needed to be put in the oven and he said, "Oh, let me check....yes, bake it and then we can eat it!"

And we did and it is all gone and all is right with the world.

Breanna's quote of the week

Breanna asked us if Grandpa Linna had married us and we said yes. She said, "Wow, I have the coolest family!"

Yesterday Pennie took the kids to have pictures taken and they turned out wonderful. Now she is trying to figure out when to do Pat's boys and I told her if she wanted to go to Madison some weekend, I would go with her (we all probably would). Pete and I did the grocery shopping while they were getting their pictures done. It felt strange not having the kids there and the car was quiet.

Today, we played outside in the pool. Breanna had to go in to use the restroom but we were locked out! I looked for the key but it was not where it usually is. I had to go to the neighbors house (the same one who came over and Maya yanked me out of the chair and jumped all over the neighbor) to call Pete. He was not at his desk or answering his cell phone. So, I went back and looked some more and finally found the key...whew.

Tonight after dinner, we went to a sporting goods store to look for a jogging stroller. I need a quality stroller for when Luke goes to Preschool this fall and I have to go get him. It is three miles one way so I want one with a winter cover on it. We found one at Dick's but are going to comparison shop. They had a lot of camping stuff for sale so I called Pat later and left a message of what he would like for camping gear for Christmas and to either call me or put it on his wish list on his blog.

Then we noticed that there were FOUR duplexes for rent two blocks from our house. I took down all the phone numbers and called them. Two were not home and the other two were similar in price at $600 a month. Both have two large bedrooms. One is a six month lease and then month to month after that and the other is a year lease. I am not having much luck finding month to month lease that are also nice enough places.

Pete had a good day at work and got his steps in.

Have a good one.

a whole week

I can't believe it has been a week since I blogged. It was a busy week. I had a ton of meetings at work and drop off and picked up Brea for camp. One night she had her friend Joe over they giggled until late. I have been playing an xbox game called Knights of the old republic two sith lords. I am almost done. I am fighting a Great Storm Beast. He is very strong and I have no clue on how to beat him. I have not been doing well on my steps. I must tell the soon to be famous story of the Breanna's birthday fireworks show. It was getting dark and I was told to get the show on the road. So with the help of Elijah I ran to get the fireworks setup. Soon I had all the kids and no adults trying to help me. I finally said if all the kids are not by the house there will be no fireworks. The plan was to shoot a fountain and a multi shooter. The first two went great. Then something went very wrong. The next fountain burned very hot and very low. It set of the big fountain that was three feet away and a few of the multi shooters as well. What a show, things where shooting and spitting sparks everywhere. Some uninvited guests asked if that was on purpose and I responded nope they said cool and thank you for the show. I went to check and the where only two things left to fire. The Saturn rockets (also infamous for another fireworks story ask grandpa about that one) and a fountain. I lit both of those and the show came to an end. Breanna and Lori where in the garage angry and scared and Luke and Grandpa thought it was a great show. Next year if I will be able to shoot them I will keep the fountains and the shooters apart. All is right in the world. The one casualty was the pedometer. It made it from the toilet but the fireworks and a night outside did it in.

I have been doing some thinking. I heard a song on the radio. It is a Christian station. The Song was talking about God knowing what you’re going to say before you say it. If we have free will how does God know what you’re going to say? Is the whole story all ready played out for God and our life’s are like a long movie. I know the Bible tells us how it ends. I know that is kind of weird to think about but that’s what popped into my head. Well I better go take a sleep pill

Breanna's birthday and the greatest firework show ever in Green Bay

Breanna had a great birthday. She is a lucky girl to have the entire family show up to celebrate with her. THere was a wonderful fireworks show to cap it off but I will let Pete talk about it in his blog since my memory is blurry.

She spent the last week at camp and is spending the night tonight at Aunt Pennie's house. We went to Appleton to help finish the painting and put furniture back. While Pennie and I painted, Pete and the kids went to the IMAX theater. When they returned, Pete fixed the fan light in the living room and the kitchen. He also hung up a couple of pictures for her. I put her VHS tapes away in the cabinet, got rid of her soda cans, and trimmed with the paint. Pete amazed me by moving her entertainment unit without much trouble. We worked from one until nine with a break for dinner at Perkins treated by Pennie. I think the walls look pretty good and as we drove away, I could see the Pooh picture hanging on the wall and it looked nice. She did a great job picking out colors. I hope her foot heals fast so she can enjoy her living room.

I did not do much this past week. Luke and I played out in the pool yesterday. Maya got in and out a few times but did not want a bath. Then a neighbor came over to chat and Maya lunged, knocking me out of the chair and I fell onto the lawn. Very embarassing, but at least no one got hurt. I started counting points last week to watch what I eat and I am doing well so far. I only overate one day when we went to Old Country Buffet and played canasta with the family and it was worth it!

Have a good one!

13,000+ steps and 1 closer to God.

I a missed a few days. Had a few bad nights on the mask. 1 hr a night. Took vacation on Friday to help get the house ready for Breanna's birthday. Cut the grass with the riding lawn mower. I have to trim some trees or I will kill myself. Went to Lifefest with Breanna and Pennie. It did not seem like Lifefest. It seemed like we were going through the motions of Lifefest. When we were waiting for the Newsboys to sing there was a speaker. I was half listening (Lori said I do that all the time). He said some things that stung. To be a Christian is not just believing. The Devil believes in Jesus but he is not saved. Do something with that belief. What does that mean? Well the lead singer of newsboys and the speaker gives us a map. Read the Bible and pray and go to church. Two things I have not been doing. It is sad when your daughter has to ask to go to church on her birthday. I was proud to watch her enjoying the concert and feel the power of God. So I have a few things to work on to be a model for my kids and anybody else watching.

Happy Fourth

Had a good night last night. 8 hrs on mask. There must of been a storm. Went to sleep with lori and woke up with both kids in the room. Worked on the garage. Trying to get through the xmas lights. I did not realize that we had that many lights. Lori finished the bushes. Pennie showed up with donuts and a broken toe. We had taco's for lunch. We went to Lori's mom's for supper. Lee and family were also there. We cooked meat on a stick(no veggys for me)as it should be on the 4th.The kids had a blast playing. We then went downtown for the fireworks. The fireworks were great. As Luke would say zing zu gungga. He said that for all the big ones.Joe and Brea are having a sleep over. I still hear them so I better go tell them to go to sleep. I must go take the sleeping pill.

Washing Rocks?

Last night was good. Had the mask on a bit to tight. Woke up and cleaned my mask and every thing else on the cpap. Today we went to menards and bought some red lava rocks and some lights for the lamp in the front. Then we went to Lori's Dad's to get some plant. Boy did they stink. We went to Taco Johns for lunch were they got Brea's order wrong three times. They gave us a card for two free taco's. We then went to Wal-Mart for food. When we went home Lori trim the bushes. We now have a cordless trimmer. Before Lori would cut at least one ext cord every time she would trim the bushes. The bad thing is she lost power before she was finshied. I washed rocks. Yes it does not make much sence but that what I did. I bought a screen like thing and poured the rock and dirt from the side of the house into the screen. I then hit it with water to get the dirt and the weeds off of the rocks. I got bored with the whole process and it was hard with Luke wanting to use the hose all the time. I put the lava rock around the plants that Lori put on the side of the house. We might just buy a few more bags instead of cleaning any more rocks. I played sim city for a while and tried to help Lee with a computer problem. Today was the first day I have worn my new glasses. I feel like I am in a fish bowl and everything is tilted. I told Lori it's like have my own fun house. I hope it gets better or I will just wear them at night working on the computer or watching TV. Well better go take a sleeping Pill.

A Nice Day by Lori

What a nice day we had today. This morning I went outside and finally planted the plants on the side of the garage. Three look good, the other two I am not so sure about. I have to get more dirt to go around the plants. We also watched Venus win Wimbledon. I wanted Lindsey to win. Pete grilled hotdogs and brats for lunch before we headed to pick up his glasses. While he was getting fitted, the kids and I walked down to the sports store to see if they had roller skates (no) and then to the pet store where they were able to pet a rabbit and a dog named Rufus.

Then we headed to Appleton to see Pennie's VUE. We all got in and 'ooohed and awwwed' over it. After about twenty minutes we went in to see her painted walls which I thought looked good. We also saw the play room with the new storage shelves and the room is really shaping up nice as a kids room. I really liked the Eeyore she wall stamped on the wall.

After that we decided to go to the mall because I wanted to look at nick-nacky things and there is a place called'Kirklands' that has home accessories. I found two buffet lamps to place on the mantel of the fireplace. (I also found some picture frames but thought Pete would kill me if I bought those since I have many frames I have purchased over the years but have not put to use yet. Some women buy shoes or clothes they never use, with me it is frames).Pennie took the kids to 'Build a Bear' where Breanna got a dog she named 'Rush' and Luke got a teddy bear with a Spiderman costume! How cool is that! After this we wanted to eat at a place we like to go to that has good pizza down by the river. Pennie said she would lead us to the place and she called it the "Riverside" I thought it had a nautical theme and that it was related to the name but she insisted it is called the Riverside. Pete said she lives here so she knows what she is doing.( A good brother sticking up for his sister!) So we followed her and followed her...I was having flashbacks to the Madison two hour search for a restaurant when Luke was a month old. Finally, she pulled over and I said she was supposed to turn BEFORE the bridge and not after and she realized what happened and we got there and the food was good.(To be fair, she only drove around for about ten minutes, better than two hours!) I hope you do not mind me telling this story , Pennie!!! I also embarrassed the family by talking too loud about something I could not let go. Luke saved the day by having to go to the bathroom so Pete took him and the matter was dropped. Nice timing, Luke! Pennie took Luke to watch the fishes in the fishtank when he got tired of waiting for us to finish eating. Nice timing, Pennie! (And it is called Naut's Landing so my memory is not totally gone, just mostly gone).

We returned home and I asked Luke his favorite part of the day and he said it was being in the bear shop. Pete put up my lamps and they look nice and he says he likes them, too.

I also answered a questionnaire sent by a study group I joined at the Blindness convention last August that took almost an hour. (Most of the print was very tiny...hello? The questions were all about or relating to depression, fun, fun, fun).

It was still a nice day.

Tomorrow I plan to do yard work such as trimming the bushes... even more fun.

Have a good one.

7934 today

Good night. 5 hrs on mask. Went to sleep with Lori and woke up with Luke. Luke woke up and kicked Lori out of bed. Went to the eye doctor this morning. The doctor said I have a Astigmatism. That's why I am seeing double or blurred images. Yes I am getting old. I am getting glasses. She said I don't have to wear them all the time just when the blurry images are getting to me. I found that my big nose makes it hard to find frames that look good. Breanna had her friend Joe over today. After work we went to the mall and I got my hair cut. The lady had no tattoos and she did a good job. We then went to Len crafters to order my glasses. After that we brought Joe home to Uncle Lee's house. We visted for a while the kids played. I did get good news the doctors office called and said that my blood test came up negative. Dad the store that sells the little figures and Christmas houses moved over by old country buffet. Didn't do well with the steps only 7934. Well better go take the sleeping pill.
